Sketch.

This sketch is for a painting titled, "Flipped and Tossled." Been running blank on lingerie designs for her to wear. Hopefully later tonight I'll figure something out.

"The Lingerie Journal" follow up interview!

I'm very excited to share my second interview with Luis Paredes, the publisher of "The Lingerie Journal." I was first interviewed back in 2011, now back for an update on my work since then and new projects for the future. I hope you enjoy it ... I did.

Lana Del-Update..

So here is a sketch/study of Lana Del Rey ... I've been trying to portray her for a couple months now. Its tough, she's different from anything I normally paint.

The final maybe tweeked abit in minor details. I hope to start her soon, I love this part of the process. Where I'm wondering, "Can I do this?"  "How am I going to execute this?"
The thrill?

Late night art

It is very late ... early, early morning actually. I'm working on a new piece for a friend. He is very talented artist aswell. Mainly works in pencil & charcoals
He creates beautiful, realistic portraits.
This current project we are trading pieces. We've been admirers of each others work since high-school.

Another Lana

Here is today's sketch, I've been working on sketches for a possible Lana Del Rey pinup, but its been tough since I can't find any photos that are what I'm looking for. I found a still image if Lana from her "National Anthem" video that I'm using as reference and its working well.
I still have more work to do though. Refining her delicate nose. In the sketch above I drew it to small. Almost like Priscilla Presley's. More to come ...

Bettie Page drawing

Sharing a few shots of a drawing for a new painting of Bettie.

Junior High

... in Junior high, from 6th to 8th grade I was known for drawing Betty Boop (as well as naked ladies). I would draw classic Betty and modern Betty, which was Betty in modern fashions of the early 2000's. Here are a few examples of my Betty's from the past. more to come in time ... (:

Perle Noire

Dear friends,

I am proud to introduce the finished painting of Burlesque-Queen, and Goddess in my eyes, Perle Noire.

I have been wanting to paint Perle ever since I found out about her. She's beautiful, vivacious and has an aura, glowing all around her as she shakes-shimmies and twirls about. Not to mention she is a warm and caring woman who has a beautiful mind to match her beautiful body. I hope you all enjoy this recent piece that I am so happy to share.

The other is an idea for a future painting maybe I may paint both we'll see.

La Diva Popolana!

Here's a shot of a portrait I'm doing of Italian actress, Sophia Loren. She is a woman I call a Goddess among women. She is one of the most breath taking women I've ever layed eyes on. A living legend and I hope someday she could see my work.

Blue Velvet

Hey folks!

As of late I have found inspiration in my newest muse, Lana Del Rey. Her look embodies that of which I admire and long to recreate with in my art. Her being a redhead is what has drawn my attention to her, and her music is haunting yet adorable. Like a melodic Nancy Sinatra.

Lana Del Rey is now one of my dream models and dream clients. I'd love to do work for her some day.
(My other dream model is Penelope Cruz.)

I've included a small study I did in watercolor and pencil. I hope to paint the full piece soon.

Practicing dark skin

Here is a pencil drawing with watercolors. It's one of many more to come. Though the only difficult part is trying to develope a good technique for dark skin. I hope to master it and then able to paint women with any skin color.

My father

This was a sketch/drawing I did of my father. He was 21 in the photo I used. I had to draw somebody for my Digital Media class, someone who I believe to be a character. He is a good, tough, wierdly-funny man.

Enjoy,

Update ...

Hello you glittering beauties,

I have taken a photo of my most recent piece, with a sepia filter. The actual painting is in color, her top and bottom are jade green with big, voluptuous flowers. Pink, orange and yellow colors. She is a brunette with deep red lips ... the painting is almost complete. I have some down time tonight. Work in the morning.

Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!

~August Beauty~

Hello curves galore!

Sharing a bit of a new piece I'm working on. Photos were with my mobile so they're not the greatest pics. Though they get the point across ... I hope *gulps*

Inspired by a photo of actress Ann Sheridan, taken by Glamour Photographer, George Hurrel. I was trying to get a likeness though I disregarded that attempt, I wanted a bit of freedom. So I altered the likeness last minute.

There are a few notes on the original sketch, reminding me about haircolor and costume design. Which will be finalized in the final painting.

Hope yall enjoy.

Beefcake. Wolves eat it too!

Hello glamorous gals and dapper dans,

"Not all wolves fancy cheesecake."

I have decided to pick up a subject I once left behind. Since I paint beautiful women, why not paint beautiful men too? I will be adding "male pinups" to my repertoire of naughty art. I have done some sketches here and there, no doubt they will be hard to create. It will be a fun exercise in creativity and technique.

I will include a small example from my Sketchbook.
Hope you all enjoy, and let me know what ya'll think.
